Elise and Ray met in the Fall of 2013 at the University of Arkansas. Eager to get her attention (in hindsight, a huge mistake), Ray persistently asked her out, bought her snacks and showered her with words of affirmation. After three years of denials and a keen sense of Elise’s indecisiveness, they parted ways after graduation…

Roll forward to 2018 and both Elise and Ray are early in their careers. Elise at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital (St. Louis, MO) and Ray at Goldman Sachs (NY, NY). 

Elise and her girl friends were visiting NYC in December when Ray graciously offered to host them in his spacious 400 sq. ft. apartment. A chaotic and exciting weekend led to Ray & Elise rekindling their relationship. 

Several trips between NYC and St. Louis led to the two on a vacation in the British Virgin Islands where they finally became exclusive. 

On November 22, 2022, Ray asked Elise to marry him. Elise decisively accepted. 

And in November the following year, Elise gave birth to the most precious baby girl, Hallie Katherine Todd.
